Arthur Kaufman has always had an artist's interest in the sculptural forms and textures of woody plants and their use in everyday objects. Some of the materials for the rustic lamps he creates, such as marsh reeds and birch twigs, are gathered in the Adirondack region near Raquette Lake. Each lamp is handmade & signed by the artist, with a handmade paper shade and a slate base.
