TAUNY
TAUNY, which stands for Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, is a non-profit organization studying folklife in Northern New York. TAUNY documents and develops programs on a variety of regional traditions, including food customs, crafts, storytelling, music, events, and occupations. TAUNY's mission is to focus attention on the traditional knowledge, skills, and creative expressions of local life, to gain a better understanding of their importance, and to encourage their careful stewardship into the future.
