Former lumberjack, Adirondack guide, and owner of Ham's Inn near Sevey's Corners, Ham Ferry was an Adirondack Institution until his death at 89 in 1994. In this recording assembled from field tapes collected over a period of 30 years, beloved Adirondack Story teller Ham Ferry recites many of his favorite poems and tall tales. Ham committed numerous poems to memory and as is heard here, delivers them all with great flair and textual modifications. Purchases benefit TAUNY - Traditional Arts in Upstate New York.
